About Adriana

Adriana is from Los Angeles California and has been a military wife since she was 19 years old. She currently lives in Missouri, where she, and her husband of 33 years, decided to retire after completing his active duty career with the U.S. Army.  She is mother to 3 adult, married    children and Mimi to 5 grandchildren.

Adriana is a  licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church, a writer and a public speaker on a variety of subjects, including telling her abortion story and healing testimony. 

She is passionate about helping women and men heal from the trauma of having an abortion in their past and even more passionate about helping them make a different, more informed choice that will not leave emotional repercussions. 

In January 2020 she shared her story, in front of thousands, at the March for Life in Washington D.C. on the steps of the Supreme Court, with the SilentNoMoreawareness.org  organization.  

She is a Post-Abortion Recovery Program Leader implementing the Surrendering the Secret and Save One Bible based curriculums. 

She volunteers at a pregnancy resource center in her local area and has been trained as a side walk counselor through sidewalkadvocatesforlife.org  and is part  of her local  www.40DaysforLife.com chapter led by Kathy Forck. 

She is currently in the  process of writing her story to be published in a book. 

In the summer of 1986, at the age of 18,  Adriana found herself pregnant and terrified. She lived in a dysfunctional home with her single mom and 8 year old brother. Not really thinking she was ready to be a mother, she quickly decided an abortion would be best, as someone she was close to had also decided on an abortion, and with no further thought, an appointment was made. The baby’s father was also very young, seventeen, in retrospect,  a child himself, and said he would support whatever her decision was. 

By God’s grace Adriana remembers very little of that  day, as she was put under anesthesia for the procedure and possibly given a sedative before.  Her main memory is of herself, after the abortion, lying in her bed at home, crying desperately and begging God to give her a second chance. God did, and the very next year, on December 7th, 1987, she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, fathered by the same young man.

When her mother found out about her pregnancy she immediately suggested an abortion, ignorant to the fact that she had recently had an abortion. When Adriana refused, her mother demanded  she marry the baby’s father. Due to a lot of immaturity and abuse that was partly caused by their abortion trauma, the marriage quickly ended in divorce. 

Soon after, she met her current husband and started to live a ‘normal’, happy life. She became a Christian, but very often would pray for forgiveness for having had an abortion, always feeling God had forgiven all her other sins, but THAT one.

  In 2019 Adriana was invited to a local march for life where she met Nancy Hall and her life completely changed. Nancy was gracious and compassionate and took her through Surrendering the Secret, an abortion recovery bible based program. Through this process the LORD revealed many things to her. One of those things  was amazing and miraculous and brought about through an intriguing chain of events: her baby’s name and gender 

Eric…. A  Boy…. 

After all, the Bible says in Jeremiah 1:5 that before HE formed us in the belly He knew us, and in Isaiah it says He knows us BY NAME.  Adriana is convinced that every aborted child has a gender and a name that was picked by God Himself. 

She also  believes that, of all the wonderful things God did through this process, the best is that He helped her to see her child as a real human being and no longer her worst mistake. God, through this recovery program, helped her to give her baby personhood.

Adriana’s life verse for her ministry is found in Genesis 50:20 (paraphrased) The enemy meant to cause harm, but God meant it for good, to save many babies alive. She firmly believes that through the process of abortion recovery, we will all be able to tell our stories and with all of our collective testimonies of pain, shame and healing, 

God will help us  make abortion in America unthinkable.
